Dr. Nguyen offers Advanced Premium Multifocal/Presbyopic and Toric Intraocular Lens Implants (IOLs) to provide clear vision with reduced dependence on glasses following sutureless cataract surgery. He also performs micro-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGs)—including microstents, canaloplasty, and goniotomy—to help manage eye pressure and glaucoma.

He has extensive experience in traditional full-thickness corneal transplants, as well as partial corneal transplant techniques such as DMEK, DSAEK, and DALK. His expertise also includes anterior segment reconstruction. Dr. Nguyen is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist with affiliations at Southern Ocean Medical Center and AtlantiCare Surgery Center in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Nguyen graduated with high honors from Stony Brook University, NY, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his medical degree from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. After completing his Ophthalmology residency in Syracuse—where he served as Chief Resident—he completed a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the University of Rochester, NY, where he also served as a Clinical Instructor. He practiced in Memphis, Tennessee before relocating to New Jersey, where he has been caring for the South Jersey community since 2011. Dr. Nguyen joined Southern Shores Eye Center in 2015 after relocating from Atlantic County.
